About The Role
As a Finance Officer, you'll be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, bank and credit card reconciliations, and assisting with the preparation of month-end management accounts. You'll also assist with monthly BAS and Payroll Tax lodgement. This role requires hands-on involvement and strong technical understanding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Performing bank and credit card reconciliations
- Assisting with the preparation and lodgement of BAS and Payroll Tax
- Assisting with payroll processing, including superannuation preparation and lodgement
- Understanding of prepayments and accruals
- Providing support for month-end close and financial reporting
- Utilising NetSuite ERP or similar systems in daily operations
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar finance role
- Tertiary qualifications in Financial Management, Accounting, or a related field
- Experience with NetSuite ERP or similar financial systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to processes
- Multitasking skills and effective time management
- Ability to adapt and respond to dynamic priorities
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
