Business & Operations Analyst

EzLicence is Australia’s largest marketplace for booking driving lessons. Launched in 2018, our platform enables learners to find, compare and book driving instructors online, and provides an end-to-end solution for over 1000 active driving instructors to manage and grow their businesses.

We're a proud South Australian success story, facilitating over 25,000 bookings per month. In Australia, we are now 13 times larger than our biggest competitor and expanded to the United Kingdom in late 2023 - but we’re only getting started. We are now seeking an experienced Business and Operations Analyst to be a key member of our team as we continue to grow within Australia and the UK.

About the Role

This newly created position plays a key role in improving decision making across the business through translating data into actionable insights within the tech industry. Based remotely in either Melbourne or Adelaide, this role works closely with the Head of Finance and key members of the Leadership team across Australia and the United Kingdom. This role supports the Product function by translating user needs and assisting in product enhancement. We are seeking an ambitious individual who excels in both tactical execution and strategic foresight, with a passion for deriving actionable insights from data.

The key responsibilities span across three areas and includes:

Business Analysis & Reporting:

• Lead business performance analysis and review processes.
• Collaborate with the Finance Head to enhance financial planning and analysis.
• Conduct financial modelling and optimise internal processes for better decision-making.
• Provide strategic insights through data analysis and growth modelling.
• Prepare and present Market Management reports for leadership.
• Utilise Excel and Google Sheets for trend analysis and reporting.

Product Management / Operations:

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Support product roadmap prioritisation.
• Manage product feature delivery and report on deployment success.
• Conduct user surveys to gather actionable insights.

Project / Program Management:

• Drive cross-functional initiatives, including go-to-market strategies and process enhancements.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet objectives.
• Spearhead market entry projects, from research to GTM strategy development.
• Coordinate with external agencies to ensure project deliverables are met.

• Marketplace experience, including launching into new markets and solving complex business problems through strategic and analytical thinking (preferred).

Essential Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Business Analytics or data focussed Operations role.
• Understanding of IT Principles: including software development life cycles, database concepts and system integration strategies.
• Data Analysis Tools: Proficiency in using tools and data including the use of Microsoft Excel (advanced) and Google Sheets to perform complex analysis to provide commercial insights to the broader business.
• Project Management Methodologies: Familiarity with project management principles and tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana), with preference for knowledge in Agile, Scrum or Waterfall principles.

Preferred Experience:

• SaaS or ecommerce industry experience preferred with an understanding of relevant regulations and practices.
• Relevant certifications such as: Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Agile Analysis Certification (IIBA-AAC), or similar.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
