About the Role
Reporting to the Deputy Director: UniSA Research Office (Operations), The Research Projects Management Officer is responsible for the management and administration of research grants and projects to ensure that funders’ requirements are met throughout the lifetime of the project. The position is responsible for all inbound and outbound documentation in order to manage Research Projects efficiently and effectively; including the ongoing management and preparation of reports and analysis, monitoring of project progress, funding compliance and other general Research Projects Management activities.

The UniSA Research Office provides support for the management of research and administers internal and national competitive research grants and projects. It is also responsible for ensuring the responsible and ethical conduct of research and for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to improve the quality of the experience and outcomes for postgraduate research students.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and relevant experience or demonstrated equivalent experience, knowledge and skills in contract and/or Research Projects administration
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others, including demonstrated experience working effectively with people at all levels, both internal and external to the organisation
- Demonstrated high level of attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities within tight timeframes
- Proven and excellent analytical, research and writing skills to enable the effective synthesis of complex information and data from multiple sources, and the provision of high quality evidence based reports
- Demonstrated excellent computer skills, including the ability to effectively manage corporate information management systems
