ABOUT THE ROLE
Due to a promotional secondment within our People & Culture Directorate, we currently have an opportunity available for an experienced People and Culture professional to join the team at NSW Ambulance. The People & CultureBusiness Partnering unit provides strategic and operational human resource management across the state with a strong strategic focus and commitment to enhancing the employee experience.
Reporting into the Associate Director People & CultureBusiness Partnering, the People & CultureBusiness Partnering team partner with the business units they support to drive people initiatives that are central to the broader business objectives. They provide strategic and operational advice and support to their respective stakeholders on all areas of the employee life cycle including complex people matters, cyclical people activities, performance management, grievance and workplace concerns resolution, leadership capability and development, and change management.
Our People & CultureBusiness Partners provide day to day leadership coaching and support with a focus on building leader capability, shifting culture and lifting performance. They operate in a stand-alone autonomous position but collaborate as part of the broader People & Culture Directorate to build employee engagement, drive continuous improvements and organisational effectiveness, whilst providing value-add HR best practice advice. Providing subject matter expertise, insights and guidance, the People & CultureBusiness Partners are active members of their respective Leadership Teams with whom they work on a day-to-day basis.
This is a temporary full-time position for a period of up to twelve (12) months with possible extension.

We are looking for an experienced, strong communicator who knows how to develop trusted and influential relationships with key stakeholders to provide value-add people and culture subject matter expertise. You will be able to demonstrate your experience in coaching and working with leaders to address and manage workplace concerns and performance issues effectively. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, are highly organised and responsive, lead with empathy and compassion, and are well versed in the provision of accurate and timely employee relations advice. Your human resource management technical expertise when it comes to all things people and culture will be highly regarded.
