We are looking for a BUSINESS SERVICES TAX accountant, preferably with some experience in CLASS. This role is not specific to superannuation; specializing in small to large clients' services, who want to expand their knowledge and gradually if desired to consult directly with clients.
This role would suit an accountant with a passion for gaining hands on experience with a diverse client base, from business clients to superannuation to self-funded retirees. We provide the opportunity to fast track your accounting career and work with dynamic individuals within a stable framework.
We are looking for a motivated and skilled individual to add our team for our growing BSD & SMSF division. We seek a range of skills and will review resumes from Intermediate to Senior accountants.
The Role - available immediately
This position will provide you with training and the opportunity to liaise with clients, when ready. You will be responsible for client superannuation compliance and begin or continue consulting from the outset. You have the opportunity to build strong relationships with clients for the firm. In addition to this, you will benefit from training and mentoring as required.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Tax Compliance - BSD
- Superannuation Compliance - SMSF
- Liaise with auditor - external
- Business Services and Tax compliance - as required/training offered,
- Manage client engagements and relationships, solution orientated with good communication skills,
- Planning and retirement strategy advisory work for clients, working with Senior SMSF accountant,
- Superannuation knowledge to link to group accounts,
- Be mentored by Senior staff, providing technical support,
- Liaise directly with clients, as required
- Work closely with senior SMSF advisor to manage SMSF client base.
Essential Experience: years’ experience qualified, or near completion
- 2+ years’ experience.
- Strong communication skills and experience with client management
- Capacity to work independently, prioritize and finish tasks
- HandiSoft Suite (HandiLedger, HandiTax) knowledge preferable
- CLASS knowledge is beneficial, but not essential.
