Client Overview
2XM Recruit is seeking a candidate to join a dynamic team for a NSW Government, committed to preserving and managing records that play a crucial role in administrative, historical, legal, and evidential functions.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Business Support Officer, you will be responsible for evaluating and preserving records, preparing record-keeping systems, and managing archival research processes. Your role will involve cataloguing documents in the Aboriginal Heritage Information Management System (AHIMS) and ensuring their digitisation.
Primary Tasks:

• Check the catalogued document's presence in AHIMS.
• Locate and digitise documents not recorded in AHIMS.
• Upload digital documents to AHIMS; scan and upload hard copies.
• Update the catalogue to reflect AHIMS verification outcomes.

Role Requirements:

• Experience in document and catalogue management.
• Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to interpret document titles and catalogue numbers.
• Quick learning aptitude for new software, specifically AHIMS.
• Ability to use a photocopier as a scanner to digitise documents.
• Capability to work largely unsupervised while providing regular progress updates to the Manager and Senior Aboriginal Heritage Information Officer.
