Business Support Officer - Property Services
Job Type: 3 months + potential for extension
Hours: Full-time, 9am - 5pm, Mon - Fri
Rate: $40 - $45 / hour + Super (pending experience)
Location: Newcastle CBD
Start: Immediate

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Administrator or Business Support Officer for a fantastic opportunity in a local government organisation. If you have experience working in the government, council or the property industry and are immediately available for work, we would love to hear from you.
Your new role
As a Business Support Officer, you will:
- Provide a high level of administration support to the Property Services Team
- Respond to enquiries in a timely manner, both in person and over the phone/email
- Schedule meetings, prepare agendas and meeting minutes
- Raise purchase orders and prepare contract documentation management
- Prepare templates, briefing notes, and reports for senior team member
- Contribute to continuous improvement but working to improve processes and efficiencies
- Assist with lease administration, including rent reviews, invoicing rent runs, insurance and database management
- Ensure all team tasks are completed within the required turn around timeframes
- Any adhoc duties required by management
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in local government, real estate or property is essential.
- Qualification in Real Estate Practice, Business Administration or similar is desirable.
- Ability to work independently and exercise initiate and appropriate judgement
- High level of computer skills, including Microsoft Suite
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project is highly desirable
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with competing deadlines and your own time
