About the role
The Building Services team are looking for a highly motivated and adaptable person who is passionate about their career in building surveying. Joining a small, supportive and engaging team, the Cadet Building Surveyor will provide advice and assistance to a diverse community of stakeholders across multiple facets of the building industry and community.

About you
You will have completed a tertiary qualification in Building Surveying or currently enrolled and studying towards completion of a tertiary qualification in Building Surveying. You will also have a demonstrated knowledge of the Building Act, Building Regulations, National Construction Code of Australia and Australian Standards.
The successful applicant will have demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. You will also provide effective support across the department with regards to council’s Municipal Building Surveying functions, Council generally and within the community.
