la herradura is currently seeking qualified and experienced applicants that are passionate about colombia and its endless culture and traditions with hospitality and management background to fill the café restaurant manager position.
about the role
the café restaurant manager will be the head management of la herradura. the role includes mostly operation and admin tasks and support to staff members.
the main duties are :
prepare ordering and purchasing of goods on a weekly basis
make sure implements and appliances are correctly used as well as keeping them clean and in good condition
help staff members in daily set up to open the restaurant
manage and supervise the quality, presentation and service of food and beverage to ensure standards are met or exceeded during your shift
assist in the development and implementation of improvements in terms of operation and procedures
monitor staffing levels and manage rosters efficiently in accordance with the hospitality industry general award
supervision, training and coordination of food and beverage staff during your shift
provide feedback to staff members in order to improve weaknesses
monitor departmental costs and budgets
get feedback from customers to improve procedures as well as get feedback from staff members to make improvements internally
maintain hygienic food handling practices and ensure the cleanliness of all restaurant facilities and equipment at all times
balance the register at the end of the shift ensuring a high level of accuracy and honesty
to be successful in this position applicant requires
Qualifications in administration or management related. At least 2 years of experience in restaurant management position, strong communication skills ( Spanish speaking isn’t a must but preferably know some Spanish. Have knowledge about Colombia and its food as most customers are Colombian and their enquires about the food are very specific). Excellent presentation. Passionate about serving and providing the best to customers to make them have an unforgettable experience at la herradura.

The job offer is a full time employment with 38 hours rostered every week.
