Graze and Goblet is a popular café/restaurant located in the bustling suburb of Pakenham Vic 3810. We seek a full-time Cafe/Restaurant Manager to join our team. We are offering you an annual salary package of $70,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation.
We seek an applicant who:
· Has experience in planning menus in consultation with Chefs.
· Has strong leadership and management skills with the ability to create a motivating environment.
· Has experience or knowledge managing business in breakfast and lunch setting.
· Understanding of food health, safety and handling procedures Ensuring dining.
· Ensure facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance.
· Good communication skills
· Possesses a demonstrable passion in hospitality industry.
· Has excellent inter-personal skills, maintaining a calm demeanour in high-pressure environment.
· Handles different situations and uses these traits to perform well in a team.
Your responsibilities in the restaurant will include but not limited to:
· Plan menus including seasonal menus, daily/weekly specials and selecting plate presentation.
· Oversee day-to-day cafe operations, including staff management, rostering, ordering, inventory control, and customer service.
· Plan food costs and arrange the purchasing according to the budget.
· Driving sales and profitability through strategic planning, marketing initiatives, and customer engagement.
· Manage the Restaurant's food and beverage service to a consistently high standard, creating memorable dining experiences for our guests.
· Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of all food and beverage and work areas, tableware, utensils and other materials and equipment.
· Effectively use results of guest feedback to improve product and service delivery.
· Take reservations, greet guests, and assist in taking orders.
· Foster a positive work environment, nurture a culture of teamwork, growth, train and supervise all waiting staff.
· Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure seamless coordination between kitchen and front-of-house operations.
· Address any issues or concerns promptly and proactively, foster a culture of open communication and teamwork between front and back-of-house staff.
The position is not limited to qualified Café/Restaurant Manager with a Diploma of Hospitality Management with two years’ management experience, but without qualifications you will require to have a minimum of three years' relevant experience working in busy restaurants.
