About the role
We are currently looking for a Casual Administration Officer, reporting to the Audit and Compliance Manager, Targeted Services, to join Apprenticeship Support Australia based in any of our NSW offices.
We are looking for a people-focused, friendly, motivated and confident individual who will be a valued advisor and will love to provide career advice regarding traineeships and apprenticeships as well as support and encourage Apprentices to complete their apprenticeship.
Main responsibilities include:
- Supporting Employers and Job seekers with entering a traineeship/apprenticeship
- Providing career advice to a broad range of workplace participants.
- Maintain client file notes, records or information accurately and in line with contractual obligations
- Working with Apprentices and Trainees to help them overcome the challenges associated with transitioning to the workplace, and balancing work and studies.
- Helping Apprentices and Trainees who may be under pressures in their personal life, experiencing workplace challenges or struggling to build relationships with their employers and co-workers.
- Supporting Apprentices and Trainees in resolving conflict and other workplace related issues which may be impacting performance and productivity.
- Providing referral services to mental health providers, language literacy and numeracy tools, counselling services or other specialist services.
- Advising employers on strategies to ensure their apprentice receives the best practice induction when they start, and tactics for coaching and mentoring them to success.
- Accurate and time sensitive data collection and quality data management.

- Proven experience in customer service, sales, business development and/or account management.

- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to set goals, organise own workload, prioritise, meet deadlines, and see tasks through to conclusion.
- Ability to communicate and present information and ideas articulately to a variety of audiences.
- Excellent computer literacy and keyboard skills.
