Historic Furner’s Hotel in the heart of Ulverstone is currently seeking a Chef or cook superstar to join our team on a causal basis. With a comfortable bistro, excellent budget accommodation and gaming room, Furner’s Hotel attracts locals and tourists alike with it’s a la carte menu and history, and dedicated staff. What the role looks like:

Working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and under the supervision of the Head Chef, you will be responsible for a variety of culinary tasks, including but not limited to:

• Food Preparation
• Assisting with cost management
• Upholding food health and safety compliance
• General cleaning and maintenance
• Menu Planning
• Assisting with inventory and ordering

 What you’ll bring to the team:

Successful candidates will ideally have a trade qualification (Cert III in commercial Cookery) or extensive experience in a pub style kitchen, alongside:

• A passion for food, coupled with a dedication to providing exceptional service
• Previous experience in pub/bistro-style dining (preferred but not essential)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Enthusiasm and commitment
• The ability to work under pressure and multitask
• Reliability and flexibility, with a commitment to working a variety of shifts, including day, night, and weekend shifts.
