Form of workWe are looking for a friendly, highly motivated receptionist that will thrive in a team environment to join our support team of administrators and clinical staff.
Casual role 1-2 days per week, plus extra shifts for holiday and sick cover will be on offer.
Requirements
- Previous experience in similar roles is highly regarded but not essential as training will be provided.
- Previous experience with MedicalDirector and Pracsoft is highly regarded but not essential.
- Working with Children Check is required or a willingness to obtain one.
- Covid-19 Vaccination
Reception
- Open and close clinic.
- Communicate with patients via phone, email and in person, in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Schedule appointments for patients.
- Issue patient invoices/receipts and bulk bill as required.
- Enter and update patient registration details.
- Exercise confidentiality with regards to patient care and all aspects of the practice.
- Assist doctors and nurses by making telephone calls, photocopying, etc., as requested and required.
Administration
- Prepare and record outgoing mail and posting daily.
- Open and distribute incoming mail.
- Scan and/or file patient correspondence, results daily, or as required.
Other Duties
- To actively participate in general staff meetings.
- To attend training sessions in-house and external courses when required.
- General housekeeping such as tidying and cleaning of waiting room and other practice facilities when necessary.
