The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Category Growth Leader to join our team to influence and drive the category forward. This is a rare opportunity to join one of the largest players in the Australian FMCG market, in a pivotal leadership role. 

The Category Growth Leader role is critical in leading the development of the overall Biscuit Category Growth Narrative, in leading the internal commercial teams, activation plans and strategies and in owning critical customer relationships and management of the Category Development engagements throughout the year.

 

The Accountabilities

  • Develop Clear Category Vision: Create a comprehensive category vision based on a deep understanding of shopper, customer, and business needs.
  • Translate Vision into Activation: Convert category vision and growth drivers into insight-led solutions, influencing customer range review decisions and shopper behaviour at the point of sale.
  • Influence In-Store Visibility: Set objectives for category reviews by customer to enhance in-store visibility, including shelf and display quality and quantity.
  • Drive commercial execution alignment: The role is pivotal in leading our commercial execution plans ie in store focus by period and managing the alignment across the sales and marketing teams to ensure we achieve business and customer priorities
  • Bring the Voice of Customer to critical business team sessions especially on innovation plans as part of weekly Demand Growth Meetings and as a key player on the Business Unit leadership team.

 

The Ingredients for Success

Just like you can’t make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this:

  • 6-10 years of senior level experience in a variety of commercial roles in
  • At least 3 years experience in Category Development roles with demonstrated customer facing experience
  • Strong drive for results, strong organizational command skills, demonstrated ability to align commercial teams and interact strongly with customers.
  • Tertiary level qualifications
