About the Role
Join our team as a Category Manager, where you will be instrumental in developing, executing, and managing the sourcing strategy and tactical plans for assigned categories:
- Develop and implement short- and long-term category strategies for key spend segments across Australia and New Zealand Markets
- Apply best-in-class procurement processes, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring long term profitability, competitive advantage, and cost reduction.
- Adherence to company Strategic Procurement process, including key sourcing strategy, supplier selection and evaluation, quality management and performance measurements for both national and international vendors.
- Work effectively across business units with different objectives in the creation and implementation of procurement strategies for complex spend categories.
- Manage audits of potential and current suppliers to guarantee an optimum supplier base.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualifications: Holds qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, and/or Procurement.
- Category Management Expertise: MUST have significant experience as a Category Manager within large, complex categories, preferably within a similar organisation or industry sector.
- Systems: Extensive experience with data analytic tools such as Excel and Power BI.
- Industry Knowledge: Possesses extensive knowledge of the category, including insights into key industry players, emerging trends, and competitive strategies
- Communication Skills: Excellent analytical, problem solving, organisational, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills are necessary.
- Procurement and Research: Well-versed in procurement, market research, and New Product Development (NPD) processes.
