The Perfect Opportunity
Our Workshop team within the Facilities & Infrastructure, is searching for their next Mechanic. This opportunity would perfectly suit a motivated individual who is a trade qualified mechanic or fourth year apprentice mechanic interested in expanding your experience with a wide range of mechanical matters within Councils diverse fleet including light and heavy vehicles, Also including a vast range of small and construction plant.
As Council's Mechanic, you’ll provide high level of mobile/field service work in undertaking the scheduled servicing maintenance, unscheduled repairs and modifications to Council’s plant and equipment and external customer’s vehicles as required.
This role will suit a candidate with excellent customer service skills who has a strong ability to manage competing priorities and the capability to adapt to a quickly changing environment.
The current working arrangement for this position is 38 hours over 4 days. You get a long weekend all year round!

- Base Salary Range: $63,440 - $72,003 pa based on a 38 hour week + 11% superannuation + $908 adverse working conditions allowance + $2,312 retention allowance
- A guaranteed 3.75% salary increase effective from 1 July 2024 plus a $1,000 one off payment (pro-rated for part-time employees) if employed by (and continued to be employed on) 30 June 2024
