As the Centre Manager, you will:

• Lead in designing and organizing training activities with the training committee, supported by the Centre Director's input. Attend workshops and seminars, maintaining precise records of training for KPIs, newsletters, and IAC reporting.
• Take end to end responsibility for the delivery of biannual symposia.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders and industry partners.
• Manage internal and external communication for the Training Centre. Duties include overseeing newsletters, handling Twitter and LinkedIn feeds, creating centre brochures with media/communications support, and identifying speaking or attendance opportunities for CIs/staff at public forums
• Manage the Centre's budget and oversee ARC reporting
• Build relationships with centre personnel: meet regularly with CIs, postdocs and students – in person at Burwood, Monash and UoM - to obtain feedback on progress of projects. Along with coordinating with relevant IFM staff on training and communication activities as appropriate
• Coordinate with the research office to ensure ARC compliance, updating centre agreements as needed for changes in governance, financial commitments, and industry partners, while keeping CI and PI lists current.
• Coordinate regular meetings of the International Advisory Board and Executive committees.
  

To be successful, you’ll have:

• Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience;
• Relevant experience in a university or other complex organisation;
• Experience with project management and managing similar-sized research units; or
• An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
• Demonstrated high motivation, scientific rigour and the ability to meet competing deadlines. (Desirable)
• Demonstrated ability in preparing successful competitive research grant applications. (Desirable)
• Experience in energy materials and storage. (Desirable)
