Chef / Cook For Retail Gourmet Food Store Company

We are looking for a hands-on, qualified production cook to prepare and pack the bulk of our take-home meals and meats.  

You love food, using the freshest, quality ingredients, and pushing the boundaries to create classic dishes with a plant-based spin, but most of all you love cooking and being part of a team that genuinely enjoys providing a hospitality experience that people talk about.  You can:

• Follow  instructions, recipes, and portion control impeccably to maintain consistency and quality control, and adhere to food costings
• Enjoy working alone (once trained), as your production shifts are at night starting late afternoon (or later if you wish).
• Time manage yourself well, as well as multitask to ensure production times are met.
• Keep a clean kitchen and ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen is impeccable for the next shift.

The Successful Candidate

We are looking for someone who genuinely loves food production and will be committed to sharing the journey with us and the team . The successful candidate must:

•   Have experience in a production role, with the ability to quickly learn and work alone. 
•   Be able to demonstrate your experiences in alignment with the details outlined above in “The Position”,
• Excitement to learn plant-based food and take on feedback about your quality of work,
• A current Food Safety Handler/ Supervisor certification
• Starting  Full time depending on the business needs
