Chef De Partie

In 1949, Nonno Pasquale left her home in Reggio Calabria, Italy and made her way half way across the world to Australia. It was under her legacy that Forestway Fresh was established– an award-winning premium grocer that provides fresh, quality ingredients and artisanal products to the wider NSW community.

To this day, Forestway Fresh retains its familial roots with the legacy Polistina family running the store and providing customers with knowledgeable and tailored customer service. We are passionate about what we do and the products we provide, and it shows.

We are seeking an experienced Chef De Partie to assist in the cooking and preparation of meals that champion the diversity of local ingredients for the Testing Deck Cafe within our flagship store.

Daily tasks will include but are not limited to:

• Ensure great presentation and quality standards of all food products that exit The Tasting Deck Kitchen
• Producing meals as per recipes outlined on our seasonal menu
• Follow schedules and routines for smooth and efficient operations in the kitchen
• Monitoring stock levels and rotation of produce and consumables
• Ensuring all protocols for food handling and safety are being adhered to
• Work efficiently and as directed to ensure minimal wastage
• Assist with identifying needs of equipment and personnel and implementing those changes
• Working closely with Executive Chef and Head Chef to allow for an efficient and smooth operation of the kitchen
