- Managing and supervising kitchen staff members to ensure high standards of

- Training kitchen staff on preparation and presentation of the dishes
- Supervising junior members of the kitchen and ensuring that junior chefs and trainees receive the right training and optimum guidance
- Preparing for the service and assigning food preparations and other duties required for the shift
- Performing duties related to kitchen opening and closing standard procedures
- Communicating food preparations and other duties for the next shift by the end the shift
- Liaising with front-of-house staff to ensure proper sequence of service and to obtain guests’ feedback
- Developing menu and improving standard recipes to optimize the costs and wastage
- Maintaining the menu in line with customers’ expectations and accommodating guests with allergies
- Assessing inventory and requesting supplies when necessary
- Receiving deliveries and verifying that all ordered items are received and are good quality
- Ensuring compliance with national food safety regulations and guidelines and venue standards
- Using safe work practices and supporting others to use them
- Hiring, training and supervising new staff members
- Preparing weekly roasters
- Representing the company with a high level of professional appearance
- Relevant Diploma qualification preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience in similar role in the hospitality industry
- Strong planning, time management and organizational skills and work ethic
- Excellent communication, leadership, customer service and people skills
- Ability to work full time on a flexible roster
