Bistro Elba, in Sorrento (Mornington Peninsula) are looking for two people to join our kitchen team a Sous Chef and a Chef de Partie. Our food is based on modern southern French style dishes with a focus on seafood.
With the restaurant being open lunch and dinner over 7 days we are able to offer a flexible roster-including a four day working week which allows our kitchen team a great work life balance.
We are looking for a person who enjoys cooking and working within a professional environment and has highly developed cooking skills gained through working in a fine dining restaurant environment.
Relevant diploma level trade qualifications and more than two years experience is preferable.
We can provide accommodation if you do not currently live locally.

Skills and experience
- The role requires preparation and cooking of dishes across all sections, including but not limited to butchery, pastry, bread making and fish preparation
- A solid knowledge of classic French and European cooking techniques is required.
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Strong work ethic, punctual and professional
