Located at the South Melbourne Market, Smithburg is a new casual dining burger joint that makes the most of fresh market produce and the creativity of our chefs. Our food is incredible - beef, chicken and plant-based burgers, lobster rolls along with some killer salads all made fresh from the market - no frozen mass-produced products here!
We welcome people from all walks of life and all food preferences. Strap yourself in, because this is going to be a fun ride. The market is a busy place and we need some hospitality aces to make sure our customers are looked after, the burgers are flying out of the kitchen and the drinks are flowing from the bar. About you
We want an up and coming chef that is keen to take their next step into our busy and creative casual food restaurant. You love food and love to learn, and have demonstrated an ability to execute under the pressure of a busy shift and a full rail of dockets. Extra points for holding a current position where you lead shifts and have extra responsibilities like creating prep lists, ordering stock and running shifts solo.
Qualifications & experience
- 2 years + in a high volume kitchen environment
- Experience in high volume prep
