The MCG is one of Australia’s most well-loved venues, with a capacity of more than 100,000 and home to several Australian Football League teams, as well as cricket matches, concerts, an array of special events and year-round non-event day functions. Our Chef de Parties play a key role supporting the delivery of high-end food offerings across multiple restaurants, corporate dining and functions. Responsibilities include: Support the day-to-day culinary operation across event-day and non-event day catering Maintaining food safety standards during high volume food preparation Support with control of the department budget and food costs Demonstrating leadership to a team of casual chefs, cooks and kitchen attendants Combining with other F&B arms to provide first-class dining to all customers
The successful candidate will have: A successful track record working in kitchen operations Sound knowledge of commercial cooking and venue/event experience Experience with stock control Appropriate culinary qualifications A passion for food and creative flair Excellent communication skills at all levels Strong team management and leadership Salary on offer: $75,835 Superannuation This is an opportunity to an award winning culinary team in Melbourne’s most iconic venue and be a part of some of the largest events in Australia.
