As a Chef De Partie, you will play a crucial role in the kitchen, working closely with the Head Chef to uphold the standards of excellence in food preparation and presentation. You will be responsible for a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring that dishes are executed with precision, consistency, and creativity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to develop seasonal menus and daily specials.
- Contribute ideas for menu improvements and innovative dish creations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef De Partie or similar role in a reputable kitchen environment.
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Creativity and passion for food innovation.
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification is preferred.
