We are seeking a Chef De Partie with experience in a fast paced kitchen and will bring a fresh and innovative approach to our team. The successful applicant will work on a full time roster Monday to Friday, and will assist to manage the kitchen operations in a safe and efficient manner supporting and promoting Our Safety Culture framework.
The position
- Food preparation and cooking
- Maintaining a high standard of food hygiene, safety, infection control and cleanliness in accordance with Compass standards
- Friendly customer service
- Function work and large volume cooking
- Stock take and control
- HACCP compliance, food safety procedures and OH&S regulations
- General kitchen and cleaning duties as required
The Person
- Minimum Cert III Commercial Cookery (Mandatory)
- An understanding of Café style food advantageous
- Can be highly organised & fast paced
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Experience in function work and large volume kitchen preferable
- Basic understanding of OH&S regulations, food safety & HACCP compliance
- National Police Check or able to obtain one
