About the role
Catholic Homes is seeking a passionate and motivated Chef to join the team at our Castledare Village residence located in Wilson. This is a part-time position working 5 shifts per fortnight.
Castledare Village is a well-loved medium-sized residence located within the inner southern suburb of Wilson and is easily accessible from Manning Road, Leach Highway and Albany Highway.
The successful applicant will receive ongoing support and guidance from the Manager of Hotel Services and the Facility Manager.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years experience working as a Chef/Cook in Aged Care.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor the Food Services team.
- Understanding of food safety skills and knowledge of food safety regulations.
- Enjoys teamwork / team building and has the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Food ordering and service delivery within a budget.
- Passion and dedication for working with the elderly.
- Knowledge of texture modified foods, allergies and able to cater for specific diets (highly desirable).
