This role will assist in leading the kitchen team to develop a unique dining experience for all guests dining throughout the resort. To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate strong leadership skills, the ability to coordinate a team in a high-end kitchen, demonstrate excellent cost control and repeatedly achieve solid results compared to budget and prior years. You must be hands-on throughout the operation and it is expected that you spend peak periods with the team getting your "hands dirty" and leading by example.
In a typical day in this role, you might:
- Assist the executive chef to create and design a menu that aligns with our concept and ensure our guests leave smiling
- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of managing financial reporting including menu costing, COGs, labour and wastage
- Commit to maintaining high and consistent standards of products throughout the restaurant
- Demonstrate knowledge of, and practice the established Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) guidelines.
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Certificate III Commercial Cookery as a minimum
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar position
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills
- Food handling/safety certificate is highly desirable.

Employment start dates will vary depending on the role and snow conditions, but most roles start in June and finish in late September.
