The Position
Phillips Coaching is seeking an inaugural Chief Executive Officer to lead their multi-sports coaching and athlete development program. This appointment heralds the start of an exciting next chapter for Phillips Coaching.
The Chief Executive Officer of Phillips Coaching will have an influencing role across sporting sectors and national jurisdictions. Relationships with internal and external stakeholders will be crucial to building influence and credibility to create opportunities for athletes on a local, state, and national level. There is also potential for Phillips Coaching to have a presence overseas pending its success in Australia.
The vision for the future is to have increased national coherence for a steady and sustainable progression of the organisation. Phillips Coaching and resources have only been in use for a few years and the organisation is positioned very well to harness opportunities with key stakeholders, exerting influence and confidence to garner support and implementation.
We are seeking a respected, inclusive and values driven leader who will be energised by the opportunity to take this initiative forward and enable the investment in scaling a fully-fledged highly impactful organisation.
The Organisation
Phillips Coaching is an enterprise created to build the skills of athletes looking to play at the highest level possible. The Phillips Foundation is now supporting Phillips Coaching to establish itself as a new social enterprise business to run individual and group coaching sessions for elite athletes and sporting clubs through the employment of the inaugural Chief Executive Officer. This includes in person as well as online sessions to assist their clients achieve their goals.
Phillips Coaching is currently a small organisation with a staff of approximately 4 coaches based in Melbourne. The CEO will report to the Executive General Manager of The Phillips Group and provide leadership and management across the organisation, driving strategic and national initiatives related to coaching, sport leadership and athlete education.
