Are you a visionary leader with a passion for transforming healthcare and improving the lives of individuals and communities? We're seeking a dynamic and innovative Chief Executive Officer to lead our esteemed health service into the future.
The Opportunity
As a seasoned health executive, your role will involve shaping an ambitious strategic direction for Yarrawonga Health. You will play a pivotal role in identifying new opportunities for growth and expansion, while also taking on the responsibility of directly leading hospital management teams, and maintaining strong relationships with Visiting Medical Officers and developing a collaborative local community feel. Your leadership will inspire your teams to uphold exceptional standards of customer service and clinical care, cultivating a culture of safety and improvement while leveraging your influence to drive necessary strategic changes.
They are accountable for the efficient and effective management of all human and material resources within Yarrawonga Health.  The Chief Executive Officer may hold the ‘authorised person’ role for some statutory requirements e.g. residential aged care.

Essential Criteria:
• Extensive senior management/executive experience.
• Collaborative stakeholder engagement ability.
• Strong business development, leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Track record in quality improvement and organisational change.
• Deep financial management expertise.
• Proficient in team building, people development, and leading and developing high performance teams.
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Management, Clinical studies, or relevant professional experience are essential.

The Hospital
Yarrawonga Health is located on the magnificent Murray River and the shores of Lake Mulwala, right on the border of Victoria and New South Wales. We are a 119 bed (including Aged Care) fully integrated rural public health service, consisting of 21 acute beds, 5 day stay trolleys, 3 dialysis chairs, 2 bays urgent care centre, 86 beds in our residential care facility including a memory support unit, and community services.
We employ over 300 staff and service a 100 km radius area with an estimated catchment area of around 10,000 people. We are located in North East Victoria, 278km north east of Melbourne. Our guiding vision is to strengthen health in our community through excellence and innovation. Requirements
• All employment with Yarrawonga Health is subject to and conditional upon a satisfactory National Police Check, a NDIS Worker Screening Check and a Victorian Employee Working with Children’s Check.
• All healthcare workers are required to have mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations (3 of) and provide evidence to support this. Additionally, other mandatory vaccinations are required depending on the specific role.
