About the role
Reporting to the Engineering Co-ordinator, these positions will assist in shaping the Alpine Shires future through assessing the engineering components of proposed developments and supervising the construction of subdivision civil works.
Other responsibilities include civil infrastructure design, contractor management and permit approvals.

Our ideal candidate
- Degree in Civil Engineering, or other relevant qualification
- Demonstrated experience in Development Engineering
- Council Experience is highly regarded
- Demonstrated professional written and oral communication skills, including sound organisational and computer skills with the ability to effectively interact with a range of customers and other stakeholders to negotiate and resolve conflict
- Ability to organise and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of and experience in the use of Australian Standards, guidelines, manuals, and codes applicable to engineering design and construction, including the Infrastructure Design Manual (IDM) and the Alpine Planning Scheme
