It's been done before here and with the right scaffolding around you to include financial support, business connections, existing clients, a technical delivery team, it's highly feasible if you have the right mind-set.
This isn't going to be a role for everyone. It'll suit you if you're driven, ambitious and want to see high rewards for your efforts and experience.
You will need previous experience in an Australian Urban Development consultancy.
The company
A highly reputable Melbourne group; known for their work in the sustainability sector. Their close relationships with clients, forged over time and built on trust, puts them in a great position - whilst they are 'small', they are mighty.
The role
You'll be working in an office of around 40 colleagues compromising civil engineers, geotechnical engineers, water engineers, designers, drafters and support staff.
This is a Business Development and Project Management role to look after whole projects between 20 and 200 lots. You may well come from a design background. You're likely well connected with developers. It's going to take some gusto to make this vision a reality but it can indeed be that way.
About you, you'll need:
- Engineering (Civil) degree
- Melbourne based PM experience in land development
- Business development skills
- An open mind. Drive. Gusto. Ideas.
If you'd like to find out more, please call Miriam Taylor on 0447 042 *** or email *************@sonda.com.au
No need for a C.V. right now, just give me a buzz.
Miriam has recruited in the engineering design space for 15 years. Her approach is respectful, insightful and professional. If you'd like to explore this or other options, or your career prospects in a more general manner, do call to discuss.
