Organisation Safety and Wellbeing unit are seeking an experienced and earnest Claims Management Officer to join their team on a permanent full-time basis.
Within this role you will assist the Injury Management Team with the delivery of injury management services, including the management of injured, ill employees on WorkCover claims, income protection claims or graduated return to work programs.

About the Role
As the Claims Management Officer you will have responsibility for the following:
Providing Claims Management services including:
- Providing rehabilitation case management functions for non-complex WorkCover and income protection claims.
- Completing and managing records for WorkCover and income protection claims. o entering leave on the department's payroll system for employees on WorkCover, income protection and/or graduated return to work programs.
- Reconciling WorkCover wage payments.
- Maintaining Claims Management records in accordance with the Workers' Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003, the department's Workplace Rehabilitation procedure and the whole-of-government document retention requirements.
- Proactively reviewing, modifying and changing Claims Management and organisational health processing to improve processes and client service delivery.
- Liaising with WorkCover Queensland, QSuper (or other income protection insurers), regions and schools in relation to employee claims.
- Providing a responsive and quality client service.
This role will work within Organisational Safety and Wellbeing team with a focus on continuous improvement and customer focused principles. While the Injury Management Team is based at Brisbane Central Office, the location of this role can be based within any Department Regional Office.
