The role
This is a people focused role, providing management support to one of our Claims Teams, as they execute data entry, booking of repairs, invoicing for repair activities associated with Motor Vehicle insurance claims. You will ensure a professional, efficient service is provided to employees, clients and customers.
You will be adept at coaching, problem solving, and willing to share your case management expertise with the team and the wider group.
The ability to quickly acquire detailed knowledge of the business will eventually lead to your being seen as a subject matter expert in the Motor Vehicle claims space.
Key Duties and responsibilities
- Plan, co-ordinate and manage the activities of the Motor Vehicle teams to ensure delivery of the accident management service in a collaborative way.
- Be successful at liaising with Assessors, and Managers in a helpful, outcome driven manner
- Be the direct contact with the customers/staff on all matters including day to day operational issues.
- Develop an exceptional working knowledge of all products and services delivered to AAMC Motor Vehicle clients.
- Carry out essential client service tasks as part of the normal day to day work within the Motor Vehicle team, including planning and allocating work activities to team members, prioritisation of urgent matters.
- Conduct quality assurance checks/audits
- Assist with training and coaching your team members as needed.
- Effectively handle complaints and escalations
- Manage timesheets and rostering for your team
- Conduct high level business process reviews
- Be able to demonstrate successful project execution
- Actively look for ways to improve service, systems, processes and procedure associated with team functions
- Assist with preparation of reports, audits and other documentation as required by the manager.
- Maintain regular communications with insurers/brokers
- Work with and support the manager in the implementation of new ideas, processes or tasks that will support the growth of efficiency within the team.
Knowledge and Skills
- 3-4 years in a leadership customer service role in the insurance industry is essential
- Sharp problem-solving skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to encourage collaboration and involvement in individual and team settings
- The ability to maintain control over multiple deadlines with varying priorities while projecting a calm and confident attitude
- Ability to categorise ideas and thoughts, communicate the requirements, liaise with your Manager, and monitor and drive deadlines for all relevant tasks.
- Outstanding ability to communicate, present options and redirect the team where necessary
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Be able to learn quickly by listening, reading or doing.
- Attention to detail is critical
Qualifications
- Cert IV or Diploma of Management or similar is desirable
- General claims, insurance and repairer background knowledge is highly desirable
