Client Support Officer/ Customer Service Representative

Access Sydney Community Transport (ASCT) is seeking Client Support Officers to join our Community Programs Team.
Reporting to the Team Leader, the Client Support Officer is a member of the Client Services Team that builds a strong service relationship with ASCT Clients. The Client Support Officer position is a multi-tasking role requiring excellent interpersonal skills, a strong service ethic and an ability to engage effectively and build professional relationships with Clients in line with the Aged Care Quality Standards and National Standards for Disability Services. The focus of the position is to engage with clients via telephone, assist them to access appropriate ASCT services, book transport and social support services and conduct intake assessments and care planning. This requires an ability to engage effectively and build professional relationships with clients, liaise with other ASCT teams and volunteers, and to record and maintain client information accurately on the Client Management System.
About you - essential criteria:
- Experience in Aged Care, welfare/ related services, or relevant studies
- Strong Customer Service commitment to clients
- Well-developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding ability to focus and pay attention to details
- Ability to problem solve, prioritise workload, work under pressure and to tight time constraints
- Experience in a high-volume work environment gathering and recording information with a high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and ability to use or learn client management systems quickly
Desirable
- Certificate Ill in Aged Care/ Individual Support or equivalent
- Ability to speak Cantonese/ Mandarin/ Vietnamese or other community languages
- Experience and/or understanding of the issues relating to the care needs of older people, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, people with disability and people with mental health issues. This position will suit someone with support worker experience.
