About you
Do you want to make a difference in a patient's medical journey? You can, by becoming part of a dynamic and supportive administrative team who play a pivotal role in facilitating a professional and caring experience for both patients and referring specialists. We offer our team members the flexibility of a blended working model—combining office and home-based work. Additionally, we provide options for either full-time positions or job sharing, depending on your suitability for the role.
Shifts will vary in start times from 6:00am to 8:30am
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Admission of patients to our health service
- Providing high level customer service
- Monitoring and categorising of incoming emails
- Managing confidential patient information professionally
- Answering calls and enquiries from patients and the public and connecting to the most appropriate team member
- Working in collaboration with the Nurse Coordinators to ensure all results and treatment orders are in place prior to treatments going ahead
- Liaising with specialist rooms, health funds, and pathology centres to facilitate patient care
- Patient document preparation and management to facilitate service delivery
- Performing health fund eligibility checks

Criteria for the Role
- Previous medical administration experience and medical terminology with previous experience working in a fast paced environment
- Ability to self-direct and work independently (essential)
- Ability to foster strong working relationships with others from a remote setting
- Ability to work well under pressure with a pleasant phone manner
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook and Teams) and patient administration systems
- Ability to be flexible with working hours (some shifts may start at 6am)
- Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (essential)
