What you'll be doing
This is a varied role that will include provision of support for various aspects relating to patient flow through the department
Primary duties include:
- Processing of new referrals.
- Organising pre-appointment pathology results.
- Coordinating the intake process, taking phone calls, managing referrals, liaising with genetics counsellors and clinical geneticists.
- The role may involve some data entry into genetics database.
The position is aimed for those studying the Masters of Genetic Counselling
Current enrolment/or graduated from a Master of Genetic Counselling Course.
Current enrolment/or graduated from a Master of Genetic Counselling Cours
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
Understanding of the services delivered by the Department of Clinical Genetics is desirable
Attention to detail
Experience with a Genetics Information database desirable
Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner

ASARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) 3 doses are highly recommended for all other health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
