The Role:
The Clinical Nurse Consultant - Patient Safety contributes to the successful positioning of the Quality and Patient Safety Service South by supporting the Hospitals South units to operate effective clinical services in accordance with the Quality and Patient Safety objectives. Including:
- Coordinate and monitor the safety event monitoring program including identification and investigation of serious incidents and implementation of ratified recommendations.
- Facilitate and coordinate the introduction, implementation and monitoring of patient safety initiatives across Hospitals South.
- Coordinate and monitor Hospitals South accreditation requirements under National Safety and Quality Health Service and Aged Care Standards.
Fixed term, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight commencing December 2022 until September 2023

You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
- Salary range is in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2019
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

Holds, or is working towards, relevant postgraduate qualifications
Current Driver's Licence
