AddressA fantastic chance awaits a proactive and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse specialising in Neurosurgery to become a part of the perioperative team at a private hospital located on the Gold Coast. It is a full-time permanent role.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Clinical Nurse, your responsibilities will include the following:
- Undertaking perioperative nursing care in accordance with legislation;
- Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
- Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
- Ensuring patient and staff safety;
- Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and (AINs) to deliver patient care;
- Proactively assessing the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual/patient;
- Documenting the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely, and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminology;
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in Neurosurgery Theatre;
- Clinical leadership ( Acting ) will be highly regarded;
- Relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications;
- The desire and ability to mentor staff and the ability to work within a diverse team;
- Excellent communication and advanced interpersonal skills;
- Highly developed organisational and time management skills;
- You will bring a strong clinical skill set and have an interest in mentoring staff;
- You will be an experienced scrub/scout nurse with previous experience across all areas of Neurosurgery.
