About the Role
As a CNS2/Registered Nurse within the Peel Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), you will work within the small team providing mental health assessment and intervention for young persons and their families. The key focus of this position is the provision of safe, compassionate, person centred care that is delivered in collaboration with patients, families, carers and the multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes. Training in the CAMHS Model will also be provided along with opportunities for education and training in Eating Disorders with young persons and other relevant subject matters to support your professional development. You will have access to the Mental Health Professional Development portal as well as online training resources.
About You
The successful applicant will have experience in mental health and working with young persons and their families with the ability to utilise their high level communication skills to build strong professional relationships with key stakeholders. You will also have the ability to support patients and their families and carers to ensure clinical interventions and service delivery processes are understood and enable patients to make informed decisions in relation to their health needs.
Teamwork is imperative to this position and provides the successful candidate with ongoing support and supervision to ensure their success in this role.

Teamwork is highly valued within the service and provides you with ongoing support and supervision to assist with your orientation and development in this role. You will become a part of the Mental Health Service network, using the expertise of other local staff to facilitate discussion and learning.
