Your new company
Your new company is a leading community services provider that runs a variety of important social programs across the region to support vulnerable people within our local community. They have an opportunity for a Practice Manager to join their team in Townsville.
Your new role
- Provide practice supervision and professional development to improve professional skills.
- Liaise with program managers regarding professional practice and staff skill development.
- Offer supervision to provisionally registered psychologists
- Understand and adhere to ethical and professional requirements.
- Research and create evidence-based frameworks for best practice.
- Maintain precise supervisory records.
- Engage in staff performance processes.
What you'll need to succeed
- Hold a tertiary qualification in psychology or social work.
- Possess at least five years of experience in the social or community services sector.
- Extensive experience in providing professional supervision.
- Ability to model and foster strong professional ethics and technical skills amongst staff.
- Demonstrated understanding of various therapeutic interventions for children, individuals, families, and couples.
- Competently apply these interventions in supervisory work, including managing complex cases and assessing risks related to child safety and domestic violence.
- Possess a valid Driver's Licence.
- Eligible for both a Disability Worker Screening and a Working with Children Blue Card
