About the role:
This Permanent Full Time role is an exciting new opportunity which has arisen due to staff changes, and presents an opportunity to Clinical Psychologists who want to work in a community mental health team, in particular those interested in working with older people and their families. Clinical Psychology Registrars are also welcome to apply, with internal supervision and support available to the right applicant, leading to full registration.
The Clinical Psychologist is based is Bathurst and provides clinical intervention and outreach support to Cowra and Mudgee Older Persons Mental Health (OPMH) teams. The position can also provide specialised interventions to a select group of older people referred from OPMH services in Orange who require specialised clinical psychology input.

Where you’ll be working:
The Bathurst Older People’s Mental Health team is a multidisciplinary team of professionals from social work, nursing, psychology, occupational therapy and medical backgrounds. We work closely with GPs, RACF and other local services to provide mental health care to older people and families in Bathurst, Cowra and Mudgee regions of Western NSW.
Western NSW Local Health District is at the forefront in the delivery of rural and remote Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol services across a catchment area of 400,000 square kilometres with regional centres – Dubbo, Orange and Bathurst - providing hubs for local and remote services.
