The Clinical Trial Project Coordinator will assist in coordinating the FlashGM Study, an NHMRC-funded national Clinical Trial assessing continuous glucose monitoring for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with type 2 diabetes. Reporting to Prof Elif Ekinci and the Trial Manager, the Coordinator will support project coordination across 20+ trial sites, requiring experience in Clinical Trials, project management, and a commitment to health equity.Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring that trial documentation (standard operating procedures, ethics, annual reports) reporting meets the standards and compliance obligations for clinical research and reporting agencies.
- Providing project level support to Clinical Trial sites across urban, rural, regional and remote parts of Australia.
- Providing research project updates in a timely manner to the Trial Manager and Prof Elif Ekinci.
- Providing executive support to the trial committees.
You will possess excellent organisational and communication skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, a pragmatic and creative approach to problem-solving, and the empathy to maintain good working relationships. Additionally, you will demonstrate high initiative, the ability to meet deadlines, and a strong adherence to privacy requirements.You will also have:
- Experience working as a Clinical Trial coordinator
- Demonstrated experience of project managing complex Clinical Trials.
- Previous experience in medical, nursing, public health or clinical research with a diabetes focus (diabetes educator desirable)
- Co-ordination of Clinical Trial processes including developing and executing standard operating procedures, completing multi-layered ethics submissions, regulatory submissions, addition and removal of sites, ICH-GCP requirements) to meet the standards and compliance obligations for clinical research and reporting agencies.
