About this role

We are looking for someone to join the Medical Oncology Clinical Trials team. The Medical Oncology Department provides a comprehensive consultative and management service in cancer medicine to the Western Australian community including:

  • Provision of inpatient, day care and outpatient consultative and treatment services for adult cancers.
  • Multidisciplinary clinics in breast cancer, lung cancer, head and neck cancers and gynaecological cancers amongst others.
  • Participation in National and International controlled Clinical Trials to evaluate strategies of cancers.

This position is suited to someone with recent Clinical Trials and/or clinical research experience. The incumbent will work within a small team but have responsibility for an independent trial portfolio. They will be responsible for all aspects of clinical trial management from start-up to closure including organisation of SIV, collection of high quality source data, conducting patient visits, data entry, query resolution and HREC/governance submissions. They will ensure compliance to the study protocol and relevant Good Clinical Practice (GCP) regulations at all times. As this is a senior position it involves providing support and mentorship to junior staff.

This role reports to the Clinical Trials Manager and is located at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.
