Headland Golf Club, beautifully positioned in Buderim on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, is seeking a candidate for the role of Clubhouse Operations Manager.
The Club, established in 1955 is known as one of the premier courses on the Sunshine Coast.
From the clubhouse, members, and visitors enjoy sensational views over Mooloolaba, Alexandra Headland and extending out to Caloundra.
With over 3000 golfing and social members, the Club is a busy and thriving venue looking for that special candidate that will lead the hospitality team and continue to grow our venue operations, with a clear focus on delivering exceptional service and events to our members and guests.
Recently the Club completed a significant clubhouse renovation vastly improving the kitchen, bar, and dining areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and knowledgeable hospitality professional to take responsibility for managing the Club’s hospitality operations.
Job Duties and responsibilities include:
- Lead and oversee the Hospitality Operations including Gaming Operations of the Club.
- In conjunction with General Manager manage all aspects of the clubhouse and environs.
- Conversion of enquiries for weddings, functions, events and large restaurant bookings.
- Preparation of function contracts and packaging along with invoicing as required. This includes the development and distribution of all runsheets.
- Take responsibility for stock control and POS systems.
- Preparation of bar staff rosters in conjunction with the Bar Manager.
- Provide hands on support to front of house when required.
Key selection criteria:
- A high level of computer literacy particularly in the Windows environment. Previous experience with iVvy and SwiftPos would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of Gaming Operations will be well regarded.
- Well presented with exceptional communication skills alongside a high level of customer service and the ability to relate to a diverse group of people.
- Hold (or apply for) RSA and RSG certificates. No other mandatory educational qualifications are required for this position, however relevant certificates of achievement in related courses are desirable.
- Availability to work weekends and public holidays.
