Cnc Machinist

Formex Group is a family owned and operated business, with over 30 years’ experience in Precision CNC Turning and Milling, they specialise in component manufacture across a wide range of industries. Their commitment to providing cost effective solution and the production of quality products make them a notable supplier.

Formex is seeking a dedicated and experienced machinist to join their operations team in the CNC department full time. The primary role will be setting up and running 2 CNC milling machines.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• The set up and running of a 3-axis Hurco and a 5-axis DMG Mori milling machine
• Basic regular maintenance on machines
• Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment
• Refining existing programs and methods to be more efficient
• Helping colleagues on jobs where necessary

Some things you will need:

• Ideally bring experience in CNC machining
• Attention to detail and an eye for quality
• Ability to read drawings
• Self motivated, team player and a problem solver
• Programming experience with Mastercam would be ideal, but not necessary
• Experience with 5 axis machining preferred, not essential
