About the role
Western Sydney University Library is committed to delivering excellent services and resources to meet the research and learning and teaching needs of the University's students and academic staff.
The Library is looking for a Collection Development Team Leader to lead a team dedicated to the identification, assessment, selection, acquisition and management of scholarly resources that align accurately with Western Sydney University's teaching and research objectives. This role evaluates the appropriateness of the collection, making recommendations for the removal and relocation of resources as appropriate and oversees the compilation of unit reading lists within library systems.
The Collection Development Team Leader works closely with Information Resources Manager, School Librarians, and Information Resources staff. The position also works closely with library suppliers to ensure that collection material is acquired efficiently and is done in accordance with University policies.
Skills and Experiences
The successful candidate will have relevant experience at a management level and possession of a relevant degree, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training, extensive knowledge of and recent experience in library collection management, knowledge of library content acquisition models as well as the ability to build successful partnerships with library suppliers and effectively liaise with library and university staff to ensure policy adherence.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 7 $117,645 to $126,892 p.a. (comprising Salary of $99,411 to $107,225 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
