The Role:
- You will work in a middle-management position, reporting to the Principal. There is no teaching load in this role.
- You will support Year P-12 teachers to implement V9.0 of the Australian Curriculum.
- Ensure College policies and procedures are being adhered to.
- Communicate with students and parents.
- Liaise with other College departments such as Inclusive Education, Student Services, Co-Curricular Coordinator, and the Sporting Academy.
- Assist in the production of mandatory reports such as Cyclical Reviews, School Census, Annual Reports and Student Reports.
- Be familiar with QCAA Y11/12 submission processes, QCE / ATAR.
- Supporting teachers with behaviour management.
The College Coordinator will provide ultimate support for all aspects of the Principal’s role. It is the role of the College Coordinator to provide effective leadership in all aspects of the College and to be a support to the Principal and specifically in the Academic Program in the College, including curriculum development, professional learning for staff and oversight of staffing and the timetable. It is the role of the College Coordinator to provide effective daily management of the College together with the Principal.
Selection Criteria:
- Have recognised tertiary qualifications in Teaching.
- Be a qualified teacher with QCT registration.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, colleagues and the community.
- Have an understanding of students and how they learn.
- Have knowledge of the Australian Curriculum.
- Proven interpersonal qualities and skills necessary for close co-operation with the College Leadership, members of staff, parents, students and other members of the school community.
- Operate as Senior Executive fully supportive of the Principal.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and energetically within a dynamic organisation.
- Possess self-motivation, creative endeavour and a willingness to accept responsibility.
- Knowledge of current trends in education (especially that of adolescent students) and education generally.
- Be proactive/show initiative.
- Outstanding professional presentation and manner.
- Possess excellent written communication skills.
- Be committed to one’s own continued self-improvement through professional learning.
