OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Commercial Administrator will support the administrative functions within the commercial department, ensuring smooth operations and efficient handling of tasks such as billing discrepancies, tender processes, travel arrangements, expense forecasting and inquiry management.
By providing administrative assistance and facilitating communication within the team and with external stakeholders, the Commercial Administrator plays a vital role in optimising the commercial team's effectiveness and contributing to the overall success of dnata’s commercial operations.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement procedures to effectively handle billing discrepancies and performance-related disputes, ensuring timely resolution
- Take full responsibility for managing the end-to-end tender process and procedures, including documentation and coordination with stakeholders
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, working closely with airlines and the finance team to address issues promptly and accurately
- Coordinate travel arrangements and manage last-minute itinerary changes for Commercial team members including booking flights and hotels as required.
- Collaborate with the Commercial team to forecast expenses and identify opportunities to minimise potential overspending
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Commercial Team, receiving incoming inquiries and either addressing them directly or forwarding them to the appropriate Commercial Managers
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field preferred
- Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably in a commercial or finance environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve billing discrepancies efficiently
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with billing or CRM software is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a proactive and positive attitude
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
