About our Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our National Commercial Estimation Hub located at the northern end of the Gold Coast. The Commercial Estimator is a specialist administrative support to four of our Supervisors as well as supporting and coordinating with our customers who are contract administrators, site supervisors and managers, builders, developers, subcontractors and architects. This is a varied role with exposure to estimating, sales support, administration and project managing.
In addition, you’ll:
- interpret building plans/drawings (plan take off and specification review)
- data entering site measure information
- troubleshoot issues by identifying root cause and create innovative solutions
- process customer quotes
- convert quotes into orders
- order materials and any required machinery for sites i.e. cranes
- work closely and coordinate with internal teams - purchasing, production and dispatch
We’re looking to leverage your experience and understanding of the commercial building industry along with your knowledge in building specifications, reading and interpreting construction drawings and architectural plans and deciphering what is required to correctly estimate and quote. However, for the right person we are willing to consider an applicant who has customer service and previous high volume administration experience. You must have a keenness to learn, this role can take at least 12month to really establish yourself. You will be a well organised headstrong team player who enjoys working within a collaborative team, who is pragmatic in your approach to providing quality customer service and who appreciates the importance of getting the details right.
