Our client is a busy and flourishing commercial law firm. Due to a strong pipeline of work they are looking to a recruit a Commercial Lawyer with at least 2 years plus pae to Senior Associate level. Clients include high profile and household named clients, franchisors, franchisees, start-ups, major landlords, property developers, construction companies, associations, equity house, SMEs and local and international corporations, clients in the media and entertainment industries.
The Role
This role will see you working on general commercial work as well as franchising agreements. On a day to day basis, you will be drafting contracts, negotiating & drafting franchising agreements, corporate advisory drafting supply and service agreements, advising on consumer & competition law issues, advising on privacy issues, drafting on IP issues.
From time to time, you will be get the opportunity to work on (small scale) private M&A deals, sales of businesses.
The Person
You will be a lawyer with at least 2 year pae and you are currently working in a well-respected law firm in a commercial team or you are in-house and enjoy turning your hand to a wide variety of commercial areas and agreements. It's important that you are not just a black letter lawyer but have a commercial and entrepreneurial approach to your work.
You will also be the type of lawyer who enjoys client development and fostering strong client relationships.
Other attributes that are important are the ability to work in a collaborative team, a 'can do' attitude and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
